Hazrat Abu Huraira رضی ا للہ تعالیٰ عنھُ narrates that the Holy Prophet ﷺ said: ‘ There is a high position allocated for a person with Allah, (but) due to his Amal (practice) he cannot reach that position. Then Allah makes him endure with such things (like sickness and worries etc.) which he detests. So much so that he reaches that position due to these detestations.’ (Abu Yaali, Majmua al Zawaid)
As referred by Hazarat Saeed Khadri and Hazrat Abu Huraira رضی ا للہ تعالیٰ عنہما , the Holy Prophet ﷺ said: ‘A Muslim whenever effected by some tiredness, ailment, worry, sorrow, pain and grief, so much so that even when a thorn pierces him, Allah Almighty forgives his sins because of the same.’ (Bukhari)
Hazrat Ibn e Abbas رضی ا للہ تعالیٰ عنھُ refers that the Holy Prophet ﷺ said: ‘On the day of judgment, a Shaheed (martyr) will be brought and made to stand for justice. Then one who donates Sadqa (donation in the name of Allah) will be brought and he will also be made to stand for justice. Then those people will be brought who had been suffering in the world with different difficulties and troubles. Neither there will be a hearing nor a court formed for them. Then they will be showered with so much of reward and remuneration that those people who had lived healthfully in the world, will wish after seeing these fine rewards and remunerations that their bodies (in the world) would have been slashed with scissors (and they would have endured it). (Tibrani, Majmua al Zawaid)
Hazrat Mahmood Bin Labeed رضی ا للہ تعالیٰ عنھُ refers that the Holy Prophet ﷺ said: ‘When Allah loves people, he (after making them suffer) tests them. Hence those who endures, (a reward is for) his patience is written. And those who show impatience, then impatience is endorsed for them (Then he keeps crying and pleading).
(Masnad-e-Ahmed, Majmua al Zawaid)
Hazrat Abu Huraira رضی ا للہ تعالیٰ عنھُ quotes that the Holy Prophet ﷺ said: ‘A man who is a believer and a woman who is a believer, gets troubles and accidents from Allah. At times they affect their lives, at times their children, (and due to this their sins are depleted). So as after their death when they meet Allah, they are in such a condition that that not even a single sin is left with them.’ (Tirmizi)
